Senior Project Manager - Transportation

Description Our St. Louis, MO regional office is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager within our growing Transportation Global Practice to support highway and municipal roadway projects. Candidate will be someone with excellent client interaction skills and DOT relationships who can manage and lead design teams specializing in final design delivery but experience and a comfort level with planning and studies also preferred. Incumbent will have experience successfully delivering projects for the Missouri Department of Transportation and other major clients in the Eastern Missouri and Southwestern Illinois area. In this position, you will be a key part of a seller/doer team and manage all aspects of engineering projects from business development, scope and fee development, staffing plan development, project oversight, quality management and financial performance responsibilities. Typical projects include highway expansion, capacity improvements and municipal roadway projects. Experience in alternate delivery / design-build is a plus but not required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Minimum 7 years, 20 preferred, related experience in the development or management of roadway engineering projects. Candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Missouri. Advanced experience in project management, contract negotiations, project planning, scheduling, team coordination & communication, budgeting, and client management. Proven ability to win projects within the transportation markets listed above. General business and financial calculation knowledge. Proven ability to lead and develop multi-discipline teams of engineers. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and presentation skills. Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently, including identification of critical path items to ensure deliverable deadlines. Ability to focus on the big picture to effectively and efficiently provide services that meet client needs. Willingness to learn new service offerings as client needs and the market requires changes to the service offerings provided by our group. Willingness to cross-sell other services offered by other Burns & McDonnell divisions outside the project manager's core set of services. Experience working with transportation clients such as DOTs, cities, counties, private developers, and railroads.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
