Senior Backend Software Engineer - VMaaS

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a can-do attitude and self-motivation for participating in the development of a geo-distributed and highly available video platform. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining services that power Sangoma Meet, taking ownership of the code from all stages of development and deployment in a multi-cloud environment. Your Role:
Design and develop scalable distributed APIs and software, with an emphasis on security and reliability Use good analytical skills to understand performance indicators and optimize services and networks as required Manage redundant services and clusters that required high availability Participate in code reviews, contribute to the improvement of the designs and quality of code in the team Your Background:
4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience in building scalable and redundant server-side software and APIs on Linux platform Knowledge of at least two of:
Java, C, C++, Rust, Go Knowledge of at least one distributed source control tool (eg, git) Good understanding of WebSockets and HTTPS protocol Hands-on experience in installing and managing Linux-based servers Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools Fluent in spoken and written English Experience in open-source video conferencing solutions (eg, Jitsi) Experience with open-source telephony systems (eg, Freeswitch) Experience programming in C, C+
or Rust in concurrent or multi-threaded code Experience with relational databases and knowledge of SQL What We Offer:

$80K -- $100K
