Support Development Engineer
This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues.

  • Help automate and streamline our operations and processes

  • Provide adequate and proactive support for various Java and .Net applications.

  • Investigate, resolve, or escalate incoming technical support requests for various products.

  • Proactively communicate issues to management and development teams as needed

  • Manage support ticket backlog and work on prioritization of tickets effectively.

  • Identify trend in issues and proactively suggest options to prevent them in the future.

  • Provide detailed analysis of problems, prepare detailed root cause document.

  • Develop and document processes, procedures and best practices.

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Responsibilities also include root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Support team members.

  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and or acting as a subject matter expert.

  • In depth Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported and inter-dependencies.

  • 4+ years of experience in supporting application development

  • 2+ years of experience in Java

  • Experience with TC, JBoss, RESTServices, HTML/Javascript, Eclipse, Jenkins, Bit Bucket

  • Experience with Linux operating systems

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Computer Science or related experience

  • Exposure to and demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of programming and analysis, including design factors, software requirements, systems facilities, and execution protocols.

  • Experience with Architecture design of multi-tiered client/server applications.

  • Must be well organized and self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

  • Ability to work on aggressive schedules. May require work beyond normal hours (weekends or evenings).

  • Ability to lead and influence other team members, onshore as well as offshore.

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and documentation skills; able to communicate complex technical answers to non-technical people.

  • Experience in Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.

  • Experience in Support, Configuration and Release Management.

  • Experience with DevOps concepts

  • Experience in financial background a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
